This Privacy Policy explains how Amwhiz Media Private Limited, the operator of UseGuide, collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit useguide.io, use the UseGuide web application, install the UseGuide Recorder browser extension, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, login credentials, profile details.
Workspace and organisation data: workspace names, invited members, and brand assets.
Content you create: recordings, transcripts, audio, guides, translations, and uploaded media.
Usage and device data: pages viewed, feature usage, browser details, IP address, and logs.
Extension recording data: only when a user explicitly starts a recording, as described in the Extension Privacy Policy.

2. How we use the data

To provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
To authenticate users and manage workspaces.
To host recordings and generate transcripts, voiceovers, translations, and tutorials.
To process subscriptions and billing through authorised payment providers.
To communicate about account activity, product updates, support, and security notices.
To prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.

3. Sub-processors and service providers

We share data only with service providers needed to operate UseGuide, including:

Lovable Cloud infrastructure for database, authentication, and storage.
Railway for video processing infrastructure.
OpenAI, Google Gemini, and ElevenLabs for AI processing requested by the user.
Paddle or other authorised billing providers for subscriptions and invoicing.
Email delivery providers for transactional account emails.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained while the account remains active and for a limited period after deletion.
Recordings, projects, and uploaded content are retained until the user deletes them or deletes the account.
Billing and tax records are retained as required by applicable law.
Logs and diagnostic data are retained for a limited operational period.

5. User rights and controls

Users can access, correct, export, or delete their data, subject to applicable law.
Users can delete recordings and generated assets from their workspace at any time.
Users can request full account deletion by contacting hello@useguide.io.

6. Browser extension disclosure

The UseGuide Recorder extension collects data only while a user is actively recording. That includes account identity, auth tokens, recording content, URLs/titles visited during the recording, and user interaction events needed to generate the tutorial. Extension data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used for unrelated model training. Full details are available in the Extension Privacy Policy.

7. Security

We use standard technical and organisational safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and protected workspace-level data access. No system is perfectly secure, so users should also maintain strong passwords and protect account access.

8. Children

UseGuide is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
